Hair Transplant Success Stories

HAIR TRANSPLANT RESULTS STORY #1

Prashant (name changed) 38 year old gentleman, wanted hair in the frontal area of the scalp. He had already tried a variety of different treatment options like allopathic medication, homoeopathic medications etc. However the hair gain was never satisfactory and even if there was a little amount of hair gain, it was temporary and did shed off after stopping the medications. Tired of the temporary treatments he came to a conclusion that he cannot take medications forever and get mediocre results. Hence he started searching for a permanent solution. Nuleaf Clinic came to his notice on google search. After examining him, doctors at our clinic, diagnosed him as having “Androgenetic alopecia Grade II with a strong family history of baldness”. He was explained that in the frontal area, medications are notoriously hard to work and hair transplant is the only way by which he could get his hair permanently restored.

He was given a detail consultation regarding the procedure and also that he will see the final results between 7 to 9 months after the procedure. When he had to make a decision of where to get his transplant done, he had many options of doing his hair transplant by lot of corporate big chains and was even contacted by some. But Prashant opted for Nuleaf clinic. On asked why he chose Nuleaf Clinic Prashant says”I preferred Nuleaf because they never pestered me with repeated calls, discounts and other marketing gimmicks. A clinic’s priority, should be on the patient education & satisfaction rather than making a sale”. He further added “Nuleaf clinic treat patients as the first priority and also is clear on the percentage of good and bad results”. At 7 months he was already satisfied with the final outcome.

HAIR TRANSPLANT RESULTS STORY #3

28 year old Vijay (name changed) had Grade VI androgenetic alopecia. His is a perfect example of how hair transplant is not a “one-size-fits-all” procedure. At this grade, hair transplant was the only solution he has. He had a wide zone of permanent donor hair in the back of the scalp. Donor capacity was 3000 follicular units. However, the donor hair thickness was very less. He had what are called ‘silky hairs’ over the back of the scalp.  When the hairs from the back of the scalp are thin, the hair growth will also be thin. In such a case, we have to plant the hair grafts (follicular units) at 60 hair grafts/cm2 density which is more than the normal 45 to 50 hair grafts/cm2. We got the following results at 6 months duration.

HAIR TRANSPLANT RESULTS STORY #2

28 year old young engineer had Grade V Androgenetic alopecia. As most of our patients, he came because we were highly recommended by an old patient of ours. In the first consultation itself, it was very clear that medication would do very little or nothing to help him. His ultimate goal was to get sufficient hair in coming 6 to 7 months. After examining, he was told that he would require 3500 grafts to cover the majority portion in the frontal area of the scalp. As crown area was also affected, we planned for medical management for the crown area. Crown area, as was repeatedly told to him, is the last priority in hair transplantation.

Once the frame of the face is done with a good density, crown creation can be later done at any date (if the sufficient grafts remain in the donor area). He was told currently he should go for the frontal area hair transplant with 3500 grafts plus we would start medical management for crown area. Later when he has time, we may look at the crown area, once the hair growth in the frontal area is complete and satisfactory. He agreed to what was advised to him. At 7 months he was stunned with the amount of the hair growth and density which he got.

HAIR TRANSPLANT RESULTS STORY #4

Mr. Patil has grade VII baldness with a poor donor area with grey hairs. The hair thickness in the donor area was good. Donor area (back and sides of the scalp) had donor capacity of 2000 grafts only. We told him that it would require additional 2000 grafts from beard and chest area so as to make a total of 4000 grafts to cover a much bigger area over the scalp. However, he did not want the beard and chest area hairs to be harvested. With a short supply of donor hairs (just 2000 from the scalp), we planned non connected frontal tuft creation. The following are his results after 7 months. This is classical example of how correction of the frontal area alters a persons image significantly.
