• Clear any doubts :

  Remember that you should be absolutely clear on the expectations/side effects/ step by step process of hair transplant as told by the doctor. If there is any doubt please contact the doctor in person (better than by phone/mail/Whatsapp) and clear them. If you are clear on every aspect of hair transplant, then the procedure will bring you immense pleasure and satisfaction. Doubts regarding any step will only produce anxiety and will eventually ruin a great experience.

  It is a good practice if you note down your thoughts, queries and problems. It will ensure that you don’t miss anything while asking the doctors. Also read the contents of this website carefully twice, thrice..as many times as you possibly can. Hair transplant is a fantastic journey and it should be an experience with complete knowledge of the procedure. Moments like “I didn’t know that was done in a hair transplant!” are much better before the procedure where you can clear them with your doctor, than during the procedure itself!

• Finalize the hairline:

  In preparing for your hair transplant, nothing is as important as a hairline design finalization. Expecting to have a hairline of your teenage years is unrealistic and may look incredibly odd later, at 40 years of age.  Also, remember that hairline can be easily lowered later at any time in the future, however excessively lowered hairline may not be corrected at a later date with similar ease. The doctor will plan a hairline that is the best for you during your first visit. He will also take a photograph of the hairline for the record. You can request the doctor to mail you that picture of yours so that you may think about it. After your approval, you can confirm it with your doctor. You can modify the hairline according to your wishes before the procedure to a certain extent, but only till the doctor allows you to. This is because the hairline is ruled by specific laws of the measurements, we can tinker it a bit but not by too much. However, if you are ok with the hairline, the doctor will proceed with the hairline made during the first visit, as per the photographic record.

• Confirm the number of grafts, final cost and number of sessions required:

  The doctor will also tell you the number of grafts required for the particular procedure and also the final cost. Sometimes, bigger sessions are divided into multiple stages. Confirm the dates and cost of each stage with the doctor, preferably during your first visit itself. The final cost will be the addition of the total sessions.

• Book the hair transplant on the date suitable for you:

  Booking the date of the surgery is important as it will ensure that your booked date will not be allocated to anyone else. Also once you get the booking date, you can arrange your leaves from the workplace, functions, travels etc. around the date of your hair transplant. You can book the date of the hair transplant at least 15 days prior to the date of surgery by depositing INR 10,000/- ($ 151) (24/09/15) with the front desk.
